About me

Hello! I’m Gina Parsons. Thank you for visiting my site! I’m happy you’re here.

During my writing career I have worked as a newspaper reporter and managing editor, an editor for a parenting magazine, and for a university department doing digital and social media marketing, and event coordination. For several years I’ve done freelance writing. I’ve written articles for newspapers, magazines, and websites. I also self-published a couple of books – one was a guidebook of the Laura Ingalls Wilder homesites, “Little House, Big Trip,” the other a middle reader fiction book about a girl and the dog who helps her overcome obstacles, “The Golden Ring.”  Both are available on Amazon.

I am married and we have two children – an adult son, and a teenage daughter.

More about me. I love animals. I grew up surrounded by cats, and for most of my adult life have had dogs. We currently have a rescued Lab mix. She has rally obedience titles, and we’re currently working toward competing in agility.

For my blog, I write on a myriad of topics. I may talk about trips I’ve taken, being a vegetarian, or perhaps I’ll talk about my dog. I hope you enjoy!
